Multiple Player Databases?
Reply Quote
I was wondering if there was a way you guys could make MANTIS able to have multiple local player databases? I use MANTIS for a tournament outside of YGO (for pairings, that is), and I don't like those getting mixed in with my YGO/VS tournament players.

Thanks.

Also, I was wondering if you guys could incorporate a way to add in UDE Numbers that come up as incorrect, so even if it's red I can still enter that player into a tournament?

Doubt it. It would be too much strain on Mantis to open up 2 MDB files. Your Yugioh and VS System players won't get mixed up since they all still have to use UDE numbers. IF anything, you can just assign the players with temporary ID numbers and don't report them back to UDE. Remember not all of the tournaments run on Mantis HAVE to be official sanctioned tournaments. You can also run tournaments for the flying hell of it.

Assign a player a temporary id and continue the tournament. To do this,

  • Open up Mantis
  • Click the Temporary ID button
  • Type the players name
  • Click Add Player

Lather rinse and repeat for each player you want to add this way. If you want to give UDE numbers out, become a sanctioned TO and UDE will mail you a set of UDE numbers you can give away to players. Even though you may not run UDE tournaments now, if you decide to later... you don't have to go through that much hassle.

Ah, found it out.

For anyone wondering how to do Multiple Player Databases, reinstall mantis into a different folder. This will give you another Player Database, which you can swap with your old one when you need to.
