TRADING CARD GAME fans to the 2005 Smyth’s Toys Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME Championships which will qualify players for the official 2005 Irish Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME National Championship.
Hundreds of youngsters from across the country are expected to participate in the National Championship to earn the right to represent Ireland at the 2005 World Championship in Japan later this year.
City and Regional Championships over the past few months have already qualified many players for the second and final day of the National Championship, but players who have not qualified will have an additional opportunity during the Smyth’s Toys Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME Championships.
The world’s biggest TRADING CARD GAME: Yu-Gi-Oh! has become a playground phenomenon in the U.K. since its launch in 2003 - it is now Ireland’s number one game in its category.
Based on the cartoon series of the same name, the Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME arms players with Monster, Trap and Spell cards to defend and attack with. Players build up their own deck by collecting and exchanging cards.
Each match pits two players head to head across three duels – forcing them into a contest of skill, practice, strategy and a little luck to emerge victorious. With 20 different types of monster to contend with - each with their own unique skills and fighting styles - players are quickly taken into a world of strategy and cunning in which they must cast spells, set traps, change the battlefield itself - or even fuse two monsters together to form a monster of immense power!
The Smyth’s Toys Yu-Gi-Oh! TRADING CARD GAME Championships will offer a variety of exclusive prizes to all participants and will qualify players for the National Championship taking place in the Regency Hotel, Dublin on April 16-17 2005.
